I've surveyed several shops for a nice bargain for these new dining table. Patience my dear....yes patience is the great word. For nearly one year and finally I got this for a very reasonable price. The real price in maket should be around Ringgit Malaysia 1200 - 1400. I got it for only RM800. The marketing guy made a mistake and did not checked with the factory for the new price. When he told me that he can only offer me RM750, I grabbed it. On the delivery day, the bangladeshi guy tried to ask me to top up another RM250, the exact price from factory, definitely I disagree but certainly I'm not that cold hearted and give him another RM50 extra. I was so happy that even thou I have to wait for ++ one year ...Alhamdulillah...patience really pays well...

This is Canthek and Along, my lovely companion... Canthek came to my house a few days before Hari Raya with injured legs... We feel so pity that we brought her for Aidilfitri in Melaka...Most of us will have kids celebrating Aidilfitri, but Allah choose her to accompany us. There's still love out there to be reached, we've taken the one right in front of our eyes...She's now waiting for her second deliver.. Anyday now....

Last Saturday, we joined the 'NRC Get Together'. It's a small get together amongst the Club Members and families... It's full of games with Fishing Competition & Treasure Hunts. We went there to have fun and meet up with most of friends since limited time for us to miggle around during office hours... My hubby ends up winning second place for Fishing Competition. The prizes might be small in value but you can't just exchange it with the bundle of joy for the day. I got myself a Toaster Oven from the Lucky Draw. A happy ending indeed, I really enjoyed the day.

My talking partner, well most of the time, Mamat (Special Kid - Hyperactive). He's quite an interesting kid. He will always challenge your patience. He'll keep asking the same question and expected a green light for him to undergo whatever he wished for. I've given him all sorts of reasons and most of it are only creations. I really learned a lot from him… The important thing is that when you're up there, you have to look down, you will definitely learn more things that you could imagined.

Antique Study Table

Hi Dear, I've been hunting around for a Study Table for quite some time. An antique touch would be lovely. Last Sunday, I've gone window shopping to a few shops in Klang Valley, hoping to find some good furniture to store magazines and a few of my other collections. I fall in love with this Antique Look Study Table and two more items.Unfortunately,it will only be available in in two/three months time. Why that long? There's no stock's available and it has to be ordered from Indonesia. The Study Desk / Table look a like the photo i've attached. Excuse me for not capturing my own photo to my blog, my camera is still in H1N1 condition.

I've to move and rearranged a few of my furniture to make place for new to come...Hopefully by then my camera will be out from ICU.

I'm not a fan of football, wish Spain will win....

It's a combination of Vint (of the vine) and Age (time of creation). This term is used in the wine industry to indicate a wine's harvest date. The use of "vintage" has been modified by collectors to mean old, such as a Vintage Car, or Vintage Clothing, Vintage Teapots, Vintage Finds. Vintage Finds includes teapots, flowerpots, baskets, tins, dishware, furniture etc. In other words for it is items that others do not want anymore make such a lovely display item for our home. Isn't it true?

To unify our home, we splashes a few vintage here and there, from a wall arrangement to the dining room, on each corner or even the kitchen, will be stained by the vintage look.

We learnt more on the items and it grows day by day, from one to another and it became a lifetime project. If you don't love it anymore, get rid of it. Buy something in return since it will get another new home. After all, one duck's trash is another woman's treasure.

Jerry is the manager of a restaurant. He is always in a good mood. When someone would ask him how he was doing, he would always reply,

"If I were any better, I would be twins!"

Many of the waiters at his restaurant quit their jobs when he changed jobs, so they could follow him around from restaurant to restaurant.

Why？ Because Jerry was a natural motivator. If an employee was having a bad day, Jerry was always there, telling the employee how to look on the positive side of the situation. Seeing this style really made me curious, so one day I went up to Jerry and asked him：

"I don't get it! No one can be a positive person all of the time. How do you do it?"

Jerry replied, "Each morning I wake up and say to myself, I have two choices today. I can choose to be in a good mood or I can choose to be in a bad mood. I always choose to be in a good mood.

Each time something bad happens, I can choose to be victim or I can choose to learn from it. I always choose to learn from it.

Every time someone comes to me complaining, I can choose to accept their complaining or I can point out the positive side of life. I always choose the positive side of life."

"But it's not always that easy," I protested.

"Yes it is," Jerry said.

"Life is all about choices. When you cut away all the junk every situation is a choice.

Several years later

I heard that Jerry accidentally did something you are never supposed to do in the restaurant business.

… He left the back door of his restaurant open

In the morning, he was robbed by three armed men.They Wanted $ *# $$$...While Jerry trying to open the safe box, his hand, shaking from nervousness, slipped off the combination.

The robbers panicked and shot him.

Luckily, Jerry was found quickly and rushed to the hospital. Jerry was released from the hospital with fragments of the bullets still in his body.…

I saw Jerry about six months after the accident. When I asked him how he was,he replied, "If I were any better, I'd be twins. Want to see my scars?"

I declined to see his wounds, but did ask him what had gone through his mind as the robbery took place."The first thing that went through my mind was that I should have locked the back door," Jerry replied.

"Then, after they shot me, as I lay on the floor, I remembered that I had two choices: I could choose to live or could choose to die. I chose to live."

"Weren't you scared"

I asked?

Jerry continued, "The paramedics were great. They kept telling me I was going to be fine.But when they wheeled me into the Emergency Room and I saw the expression on the faces of the doctors and nurses, I got really scared.

In their eyes, I read 'He's a dead man.'

I’ve been screening and browsing to get a few ideas for my main wish list. I’ve found a few that hugs my heart’s away. I saw an enchanting banglo in Bukit Kiara , I only seem to adore the kitchen area, they have a seating area whereby you can use it for painting, with a cup of coffee… I will try to get a nice picture of it if I got the chance to visit their home again.

This old pictures says it all out. They’re definitely happy together. They enjoy having each other most of the time. Now they are far apart, but they’re still growing in my heart. In green, is my lovely daughter, Salsabila. InsyaAllah, one day we will be together, forever. In pink, Qistina and Nabil in white shirt. There are certain times where I blame myself for taking away my daughter’s happiness, is it me or its faith. The only thing that holds me strong enough is the wisdom words from my husband… If she is meant for us, she will be, InsyaAllah.

This is what I hope for in her life….

She will be able to stand on her own….

She will be able to fight for her rights

She will be a bright girl , be the best in her studies…

A blast from the past

It’s been a while since my last update … Miss me… Well, I’m back…I’ve to organized a few bundle of works … Getting my daughter’s custody court case in tact… It’s not easy to get everything done perfectly but Alhamdulillah my lovely husband, my mum, dad , my brother, my sister-in-law and a few of my friends who are very supportive have sometimes showed me the way. They really lighten up my day, THANK YOU for the motivation and Love ... InsyaAllah the truth will be brought forward .

Recently when I was at my parents place, I’ve been clearing up and found the families old photos especially my parents wedding photos.

Let me share with you the blast of the past. They really look so handsomely together…They got married in February 1967 and I was born in December on the same year and nine years later I got a brother. My mum is my best friend. My dad protects me all the way even though I'm a married lady now.

Look at the vintage wallpaper, I love it...It must be wallpaper, but no surprisingly they are wrapping papers.

Wrapping papers.?*&^%$#@!??..

Can you imagine how many wrapping papers they have to invest to cover up the whole bedroom, how creative are they. There are creative items that most of us not able to produce now. Why? I will try my best to get a few of the items.

Can you see.. what I see... I want that chair... I really adore those chairs for years... wonder where can I grab those....

And furthermore, look at the crowns... they are handmade , unfortunately, I do not have a closer photos of them.. My late greatgrandmother creatively crafted most of the crowns ordered by nearby villagers. Sadly, I do not have any of those in hands, but I'm proud to say that I was born in a bunch creative families.

I have to visit her new home one of these days... I created something different for her... She's a soft kindhearted lady ... she mostly laugh when we had our jamming... yeah .. jamming during breakfast... we had so much things to talk about .. and too little time ... sorry dear for the blur photo... my camera kind off getting old... What a lovely trip

It's been a hactic year end... I've been very busy and not able to update this lovely blog... I've tried to catch-up with all you bloggers... wow such a view... most of you have lots of hunting and hunting... I really do envy you guys ... I did some hunting also during my trip to Bukit Merah... I've wondered around Taiping and Penang... missed Ipoh... I've been dreaming to walk along the alley ... well most of bloggers have done their hunting there.. when can I get the chance... I've to devide my precious time with my hubby... with his fishing activities... one day for hunting period the other goes to fishing... morning for hunting and back to fishing... we have to tolerate to catch-up with our hobbies...

If you're in Penang, please take note that most of the shops are not open on Saturday, and its close on Sunday.. so really plan your trip to Penang... Journey to Penang is not as per few years back, they are signboards and the street names are easily to be seen ... you won't get lost but most of the streets are one way street so you need to make another round if you missed that particular street... Finally after a few strolling down the road,I did bought a Japan blue -white teaset.. beautiful black pink rose, an uncomplete yellow teaset, a red teaset & a few teapots ... Fuuhhhh, what a trip hahhhh... and at the end of the trip,we forgot where we parked our car... pity my hubby ...he has to carry a big and heavy box and Where's the car???... Did we go this way or that dear?... What would you do ? .......

We were at Bukit Merah for 4 days, and We do stop by to any Morning Market that we heard from the locals ... Yes, I do find some vintage and antiques but its so hard to find teapots....

just an old table clock.. and crystal plate... They're nicely pack in the boxes,wondering where can I place it... hmmmm...

I've looking forward for our next trip to Bukit Merah again... Bukit Merah is a very nice relaxing place.. you can never find the nice view, just by watching the sky in the middle of the night, having coffee together with my hubby, we'll just pass by the time... oooppps it's 3am dear... its really romantic just sitting by the lake ... I really miss that feeling... we had our 12 o'clock strike new year at the lake...

How's your new year.... is it happening .. fun.. enjoyable... I do hope it's not too late to wish 'Happy New Year'... may all your hunting make your life a beauty... Don't stop hunting....

Hey ladies...

It's Monday again.. miss all of you.. I've been missing for a few days..It's not because I'm feeling Blue... nope.. just need to rest and trying to get the mood to paint.. It's not that easy to paint but sometimes you can't resist to finish in that day.. even though you have to skip and leave my pillow partner ... Eventually I will do some other work crafts just to get back to the decorative painting mood... with some magazine, scrolling down and surfing internet and the best is if I get to watch the old english film... that will be the best touch ...

Have you ever wonder how to get all the vintage look in our home... what does it takes to create the look, does it take that much time... try reading some magazine... take your own sweet time, do not rush to get all these in your hand...go with your budget.. I've always told myself... if I can't get that teapot today.. might be there's a good will ... I might get it cheaper the next time... It do really works ... but patience are the most vintage in our heart... you have to learn to know yourself ... don't get the Blue Monday get to you...

Cake Platter

I don't really collect cake platter but this one really catch my eyes... It has all the combination strawberry and flowers... and the curves...Look at that, isn't it stunning...At first, there's a few ducky on the platter but...it suddenly struck me that I can't see the beautiful curves, the design on top of the platter... Now it's on my console table ...

I'm sure you have more catching cake platter than mine... I seldom go shopping, I'll just grab the one that makes me feel happy... Actually, I don't think I can sleep if I didnt bought it in the first place..You too, isn't it...

Blue Monday

It's really a Blue Monday... I'm not feeling well.. just got flu and it is really disturbing ... I've been

sneezing since morning and sometimes I can feel that my eyes are popping out , might be I sneezed too loud... gosh.. few of my friend are worried.. worry that they might get infected...

I've gone to the nearby clinic and got flu tablets for day and night and some antibiotics...After taking the flu tablets, I felt a little bit drowsy... I thought it should not make you feel sleepy.. or might be I'm too sick...

I did simple folkart yesterday... while watching Sunday movies ... enjoy dear...

I need to rest now... my pillow is calling my name...

Almost all of my reading collections are vintage and romantic country magazines...Most of you are aware that I do love doilies..I've learned that most romantic homes should have doillies, china ware, lace, shades as per lamp shades..etc..etc..each collections should have their own character...with a cosy feel...

You can never out of ideas since you can get all the items anywhere.. from the cheapest of 50 cents to $$$... you can either have it handmade or just purchase it thru bloggers or friends...

For furniture... I love to redo and paint , give it a new look with a few touch of folkart...

Get a sprinkle of magic, compile the art from all bloggers out there... I've learned a lot from you bloggers...

I know you probably have one but I didn't. I really wanted it so much... but it was too expensive that I could just lay my eyes on it while window shopping.

Look at the teapot I found, It's Laura Ashley. I got it during a warehouse sale...it's 80% off... I'm so glad finally I got it.. it's now nesting perfectly in my kitchen...

I also bought myself a pair of lovely crochet and a lantern.. I will snap the photos and share it with you... I'll have to figure out how to highlight the lantern..there's too many ideas.. I would like to give it a vintage touch.. I'll crack it this weekend and see what it will turn out to be.. wish me luck...

It was a gorgeous day for a ride! I was walking to 'D Curve' on Monday when I got a call from this lovely lady...Kak Azah... I cannot believe what I heard.. am I just dreaming... I have wanted to travel there for a decade... I even tried to persuade my hubby... but No Luck... well now the luck is on my side.. we have to believe it that things comes around and goes around with God's will... thank you so much for taking the effort to drag these beutiful Spode for me.. I can't thank you enough.. thank you again Kak Azah... you really make my day..

That night I went to kak Azah's cottage to collect these beauties... kak Azah is such a lovely sweet lady... we talked, I really enjoy her company and did not realise that time flies so fast... there's so much things to share.. things that I learned just by looking around her cottage... Her simple cottage open up my mind that you don't have to be surrounded with luxury items hanging here and there.. the family makes it perfect... I wish I have all that... InsyaAllah...

Thank you again, Kak Azah! We need to get together really soon ! Again!

A 10 year old boy, had eaten pineapple about 15 days back, and fell sick, from the day he had eaten. Later when he had his health check done...doctors diagnosed that he had AIDS. His parents couldn't believe it...Then the entire family under went a check-up... none of them suffered from Aids. So the doctors checked again with the boy if he had eaten out...The boy said 'yes'. He had pineapple that evening. Immediately a group from Malaya Hospital went to the pineapple vendor to check. They found the pineapple seller had a cut on his finger while cutting the pineapple, his blood had spread into the fruit. When they had his blood checked...the guy was suffering from AIDS..... but he himself was NOT aware. Unfortunately the boy is suffering from it now. Please take care while you eat on the road side. Teapot AGAIN

It's a beautiful sunday.... I went out for breakfast at section 17 shah alam...and drop by a nearby supermarket ..well.. I feel like cooking for lunch...sweet sour fish...yummy...yummy. Firstly, I have to stop by at 1st floor, just for a sight visit or most of us call it window shopping..and guess what I attract me... it's a white teapot... it's a beauty for our tea with some biscuits...
'I found a white teapot' I told my hubby, and he just replied 'again', he smiled... It's a normal 'SURPRISE FACE' from him... I knew that he's happy for me... 'Well honey... make a surprise face... a very surprise one...' well he did... just for me...notty me...'as long as you're happy' he said...how swweeeeeeet......muuuahhh love you..

I was so happy that I clean up all my teapots and two boxes of back home hunting... look at that..

What do you learn from hunting antiques ... Last weekend,I and my hubby have to wait for 1 and 1/2 hours just to get to the store room of these teapots.. I called this apek 'uncle', he's very old and very hot tempered... so you have to be very patient with him... if not he won't allow you to his store room where all these treasures are kept... and see what we have found... 1st thing that I've learned, patient.... very..very patient... we've to dug for two hours to get those 'diamonds'. The last things that I learned, you will get hungry after hunting... we've been there for 3 1/2 hours and no lunch yet...

Back to my Sunday... the white teapot change my day, I also changed the positions of almost each teapots. Black teapots have been placed at my kitchen, new exotic teapots at the cupboard next to my dining table, kangkongs' teapots on top my small Jati cupboard...some of it here and there.... I will take you on tour for all my treasures...

Finally when I've done cleaning, I thought of counting all my teapots.. one ..two.. three.. twenty, forty-eight, ..................seventy-three... to my surprise I've got more than 80 teapots... and some of them are still in the boxes.. I'm out of space... not too worry I'll think of something...annnnnddddd....I'll still be out there to hunt for more teapots... what can I say more...

Retro Day

It was a happening day...we've struggled for two weeks for d' event ... yeah... Last Friday ... we had our Open House for our workplace... every floor had thier own theme... Our's is Retro....

Everyone has bundle their sweat out, struggled to make d' event to stay.... We have committes for food, intro dancers, attires, musics and most of all decor....
Now let me lead you to the Retro floor...

We finished setting-up at 2am on Friday morning... Event start at 2.30pm ... first event... welcoming guest of Honors to 'The Tunnel Discotheque' with an intro dancers doing the hot stuff... after that to our 'After Eight Cafe'. Our guest of Honors turn out to be the judges... We will only get the result by Monday... fuhhhhh....

These delicate teapots blooms on the teapot cover. Most of us being attracted to collect teapot for the antique, unique feature especially the roses that catches the eyes. Almost all bloggers that I've run through can't resist the roses features. So am I. One of the most features that made the teapots blooms are the covers...

A teapot on top of a teapot... I saw one of these in an ebay before... I've never bought from ebay before.. So my dreams does not stop there... That teapot is now mine... not from ebay, one of a typical shop in town...

Wherever I've been ... travelling or just window shopping, the first thing I will notice is the teapots.. even if its hidden far behind the cashier counter ... my eyes will wonder to just find a good home for the teapots...these two teapots are now finally resting at my home...

Wake up ... wake up... the sun is shining .... it's time to feed the chickens.... but in modern ways.. we just let them lay eggs, in our kitchen.. at our garden... anywhere you wish them to be in our home... most of my chickens nicely resting in my kitchen... I'm so fond of these chickens that I decided to paint it on the kettle...

I painted both side of the kettle with different coloured of chicken... giving it a touch of country...

My china collection is a mix of old and new. A few of the collections are handed down from great-grandmother to my mum. My entire goal is to create a romantic home feeling. A home with a loving feeling...Chinaware are easily to be found , you just need some effort and money, but decorative plate with all kinds of flowers are rarely to be found..There's a big story behind it...

When I first bought the decorative plate, It cost me a bundle. I've wondered, how can I have all these flowers on my wall.. and now I can just have it with decoupage... my own design...

I can't help admire those curves! Chic swirls, fanciful curves, graceful lines... no doubt I have to bring the garden birdcage in my home...see the little blue bird hanging around the cage..

Whether it’s my desire to prevent future birds from being trapped or the intriguing architectural lines, these birdcage has captured my attention...I'm searching for a more vintage birdcage to complete my home atmosphere...maybe with some tingling lights will make it more catchy... A nice birdcage stand will definitely give it a new look... or with curtains... yeah.. birdcage with curtains... have you seen that before... that was the old days, where the use the curtains to prevent cold whether at night ... it's replacing the blanket that we use to tug in at night... birds need that too...real birds...

I've just been to Metrojaya... missed the SALE.. but I'm still stunned with their every corner decor... with Laura Ashley, silverware, teasets... my favourite... but most of all, I've just realize that each type of decor there should be something that shone, stoods up or boost up the corner of each decor.. either you love the silver, glassware, ceramic, with touch of gold lining, it really beautifies your heart ..

In every ceramic item, with a lining gold touch, it's upgrade the level of the dinnerset or teasets.. do you ever wonder why?

It must be that gold have been found accidentally by human ... why is gold was given a high price? Then ages gone, and human kind has adapt it not only as jewellery , girls best friend, well not anymore .. guys wear gold too, there's gold lining in ceramic too...and lucky me I found this Gold Platter in Banting, Selangor...Have you seen the design before, let me know if you have ... I would love to have a set of it...

Help..Helpp.... I'm trapped... the office door can't be opened.. we have to call the security.. but even the security cant open the door... ?????..

My colleague managed to call the system analyst .... we've been trapped .. I think more than an hour but we just realise only at 10pm ... Technology... very computerised... man made system and it trapped us...

Not more than 15 minutes, 'our saver' came ... and ... what do you think we'll do... well most of you will just pack things and go home... but we still have some more back logs to finish...

Fuyyohhh... It's been a while since I last wrote in this blog... naughty me...I've been very very busy with office workflow, packing and unpacking... we've just moved to a new building... our new office is now located in the middle of shopping maniac... I'm missing Amcorp and romantika... my lovely magazine store that I visit almost everyday... here the same magazine that I always purchase are damn expensive... I have to save myself from purchasing it ... fuhhhhhh...

I've not been out shopping for more than a month ... within two to three weeks, things will settle down and I'll get the mood to digging to old 'apek' shops...I've to finish some of my customer's order too... I bought it during sale... real price will cost me RM200++ ... after 70% discount... its a bonus for me... I love the cover of this teapot... It's quite heavy too... It can serve 8 to 10 cups of tea... Ever wonder how teapots / cups make a difference to the taste of coffee and tea, nescafe etc...

The thicker the ceramic, the longer it holds the heat of your favourite drinks. That is why they also have created teapot cover...

I've just recovered from a bad flu... naughty flu attack me last Tuesday... I was so down.. I can't do anything, took my pills and went for deep sleep... Alhamdulillah I'm back on feet...

Each duck cost only RM2.95.. very cheap indeed. I found it at a small shop in Banting, Selangor...small shop in a village... When it was time to give her medicine, she refused and she sounds so angry... after half an hour, I realised that she's in coma. We took her to Pantai Medical Centre in Melaka. I feel like fainted when the doctor told me that her blood vessel nearly burst and she had to go thru an emergency operation but they cannot do it there since the doctor in-charge is on leave. I had to pull all my strength to be brave when I saw my dad, I knew that my dad loves my mum so much. I tried to find ways for her to get the earliest treatment, my cousin who was working at the hospital made a few calls. The only hospital that can take her at that time was University Malaya Medical Centre. That night, at about 10pm, she was taken to University Malaya Medical Centre with an ambulance.

She was operated the next day and the operation went well. The doctor said that she is one lucky patient, right after being operated, they call out her name and she responsed immediately. A few days in the ICU, that was around 5am, she wanted to drink tea... where on earth could I find tea at this hour. Lucky me the Delifrance was about to open, guess what.. I got tea for her...gosshhhh...lega...

Another incident when I overslept and totally forgot to gave her early breakfast at 3am.. The nurse told me that she was quite dissapointed that I did not turn up, lucky me the nurse comfort her, told her that I might be so tired and overslept. I'm so sorry mum....

A few days later she had another operation. They found out that there was a blood clog. There's only 1% that she can make it. I had cold feet while waiting .... 'Mak, selawat banyak-banyak ye', she told me not to cry... I did not even cry in front of her. I had to be strong...

15 days at University Malaya Hospital.15 days in fasting month. I slept whenever and wherever I had the chance... and now I can sleep well, she's much better now... I just call her..

I LOVE YOU MUM...I will always do...

firstly, enjoy some of my decoupage plates...

i still have a few of the plates...
my first decorative plate cost me USD70 for 3plates with the hanger... that was love at first sight.
When did i start decoupage on plates, Year 2005.
i would like to have my own designs, i learn thru internet, group forums, and i did my first plate... the second.. and then it goes on, and i lost count of the plates that i have done.. some of them i swap, give as presents to my aunties, friends and i even sold it for my pocket money...
I still get calls or emails for my decoupage plates...
